Welcome to Gaia-X Hub Denmark

Gaia-X Hub Denmark serves as the central contact point for providing information, facilitating network, and clarifying questions related to Data Spaces and the Gaia-X initiative.

The Hub is operated through a broader Danish Data Space Forum. It provides guidance and support to local companies on how to benefit from Gaia-X principles and initiatives, facilitates connections between stakeholders to encourage collaboration and partnerships, and offers access to resources, expertise, and best practices related to data sharing, interoperability, and digital innovation.

The Danish Agency for Digital Government is responsible for operating the Gaia-X Hub and Danish Data Space Forum, which has been established as part of the Danish Strategy for Digitalisation.

Activities

The Hub organizes meetings and webinars that facilitate knowledge exchange and networking while driving the adoption and understanding of Data Spaces, with a particular focus on strengthening data use among public authorities, businesses, and other organisations. This is supported by an online forum available to all members.

By linking Danish stakeholders to European developments such as Gaia-X, and providing opportunities for collaboration, funding, and partnerships, the forum helps enable new dataspace projects. At the same time, it raises awareness and fosters the practical application of Data Spaces across both the private and public sectors.

What is Gaia-X?

Gaia-X is an initiative launched in 2021 as a privately funded, non-profit association. It brings together large companies, SMEs, industry, and policymakers to develop common standards for transparent, reliable, and interoperable technologies. The goal is to build secure data spaces that make it easier to share data, collaborate, and drive innovation across sectors and borders – strengthening Europe’s data economy.

Gaia-X aims to create a connected data infrastructure that ensures data sovereignty, interoperability, privacy, and security. The initiative is open to everyone and is built on European values such as transparency, transparency, trust, and human-centricity. Its vision is to create an ecosystem where data can flow and be used seamlessly, supporting innovation, economic growth, and societal value - while reducing Europe’s dependence on non-transparent and uncontrollable technologies.
